She figures that a time comes in one's life when admitting that the only prat in any situation is yourself is not only wise, but necessary.

Which is why she has a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich, no-crust, with a side of two chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk.

It's also why she sets it in front of that Force-be-damned brother of hers, a look of resignation on her face.

"Look, I'm sorry for what I did," she says. "I suppose I'm a little too used to getting the things I want. I don't know. But consider this a peace offering. Me and the brother I knew in this place used to share them all the time. I thought you might like them."

After the confrontation with Anakin he'd gone back inside and found a nice dark booth to sit in. To have his solitude. To get away from the emotions that ran through them or to cram them back where they belonged. Emotions were something that couldn't be shown. But when the food is set before him, he blinks. Um... okay then.

"People get that way." He shrugs and picks up a cookie and bites into it. Nope, he hasn't lost the love for the cookies. "I've had so many people try to tear my mind in two. Like it was their own personal playground. So I prefer it only being me there."

It's the best explaination she's going to get.
"Understandable."

She won't sit until he ivites her. So she stands. She fidgets a little.

Yay for awkwardness!

"Um, right. Anyway, I should probably go." She may be giving the plate an empty stare.
Right... he doesn't know her... only thing he knows is what she told him and what his father told him. Right... lets see how awkward we can get here.

"Or you could sit and have the other cookie and half the sandwich."

He's trying. Give him a bit.
She hesitates for a second before sitting across from him.

She takes half the sandwich tentatively and then takes a bite.
There's a bit of awkward silence there for a bit.

"He told me the same thing you did but I'm not inclined to believe him. And you're still a stranger to me." He sighs. "I'm not sure I know what to believe."
Leia sighs, munching thoughtfully.

"Yes, well. It's unfortunate, because the only way to prove, without a doubt is for us to reconnect on a Force-givin level. But, seeing as how you have issues with that whole mind-touching thing, it's safe to say that we're screwed and you'll just have to learn how to trust people again and take them at their word."
"I don't have issues with it."

The cookie is gone so he takes a bit out of his half of the sandwich. "I just don't take well to people invading my mind without so much as asking. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want someone just going into your mind without your say so."
She blushes at that comment. The Emperor always invaded her mind, to give her orders. She welcomed that invasion, thought it an honour.

"Um...yeah. Sure."

She finshes the rest of the PBJ in silence.
Yeah, well, he wasn't her and where he was from there was no Emperor. Just criminals who liked to tear apart the minds of children. Idiots who thought they could get away with everything. He goes quiet.

"Invading someone's mind without permission is worse than being nearly killed."

It's how he sees it. And yet he's invaded people's minds before that had the audacity to cross him.
She looks away. "It's how I usually get my orders from the Emperor," she says quietly. "Without warning, right here." She taps her forehead.
He shakes his head. "That's worse than death." Those eyes watch her for a moment though. It's possible that he'd let her try again... just with ample warning or actually asking.

Notice... neither of them have touched the milk.
Yes, well, as Leia reaches for the cookie, she automatically reches for the milk...

"I was told it was an honour. Emperor's Hand, they called me. Able to hear his exalted voice from anywhere in the galaxy."
"Then they lied to you."

It's as simple as that. If some ignorant being told her that it was an honor then they lied. And he's not going to stop her from reaching for the milk.
She dunks the cookie before biting into it. "Yeth, well, seeing as how he," swallow, "trained me, I had no reason to believe otherwise."

"I know otherwise. There's no honor in invading minds. No matter what the reason. Ask first. Then there might be some honor in it."
She finishes the cookie and drinks half the milk in one gulp.

She wipes her mouth with the back of her hand and gives Luke a searching look.

"Can I show you something? In here?" she asks, tapping her temple. "Maybe it will help you understand everyone's confusion at your presence?"
And there might be some reluctance but he gives a slight nod to her. "Sure."

Which means the shields he'd thrown up the first time around come down.
And then she's opening her own mind to him, as well, getnly brushing against his and inviting him in...

Where he will see her memories of Lukey, of how he had greeted her when she first arrived and the time they had spent together in this place.

And it's followed by the memory of finding out what had happened to her baby brother, how he had disappeared.

Tears are falling from her eyes by this point.
And he frowns a bit at that. The memories. He doesn't remember any of that but at the same time he does. Just not strongly. After all... a lot of stuff got pushed to the back of his mind then.

There's no telling when in the world it happened but he's suddenly beside Leia and wrapping his arms around his sister. He wants to cry but there's no way he can. He's locked so much stuff up that its almost not possible.
And she's turning to hug him close.

"No one abandoned you, my brother," she says softly. "You were taken from us and no one could get out to find you."

And she lets him in deeper, seeing how her life had been and how she had been at odds with the brother from her time and place only to find a loving, affectionate little boy who loved her very, very much.
"Oh."

Now he feels bad for accusing his dad of abandoning him. It's what he'd thought. It's the only thing he'd known. All he'd known.

And those aren't tears... really they're not. Okay... maybe they are.
And then she's pulling gently away from him mentally and swallowing a sob.

"Father really pulled a number when you disappeared. Mother and I, we had to stop him from doing something stupid. He was ready to cut a hole in the wall."
"I should find him."

He's not moving away from his sister though. He shakes his head. "I accused him of abandoning me. I didn't know. I think I made him hate me."

Which is a whole lot worse than Leia's mistake from earlier or rather it hurts a lot worse.
"I'd be careful how you do it, though. He's not easilly mollified."

Luke sighs and just lays his head on his sister's shoulder. "Shouldn't of said what I did to him." He whispers. Now see... things would've been fine had he allowed Leia to do the mind thing earlier.

Yes, but he didn't know then, and she neither did she.

Only thing left to do is pray that bridges have not been burned down.

"Oh, and be weary of mother. She's...hormonal."
They probably have been or at least that's what daddy's last statement had sounded like before. He blinks a bit. "Why?" Little Luke didn't know about the babies.
Oh, should she really say this?

"I'm sorry, I got in trouble the last time I told, and I really, really want to tell you. But Mother would kill me."

She pouts.
"Mom wouldn't kill you."

Right...? Wait... oh, confused boy now. He didn't know Padme was mommy to begin with.
"I'll let you revise that statement once you've met up with her," she says with a grin.

"She was over by the fireplace, where I left her. I don't think she's moved since."
"I only know dad."

He's making a slight face at that.

"Who exactly are you calling mom?"

Yeah... might need to help him with that one.
"Padme. As I said, she's still on the couch over there."

She gives him a curious glance. "But before you do that, I should show you how things work around here. Because if there isn't a bartender to ask, you have to get it yourself."
Luke blinks at the name then something clicks in his mind... OH! Her!

"Okay... how do things work around here?"
"Well, again, no violence in the bar. And, well, come with me. You need to meet Bar, first."
"Right. Got that. You pointed the rules out to me earlier." Luke states before sliding out of the seat so Leia could get out too. "Lead the way."
She gives Bar an affectionate pat when they get there. "This is Bar. She will provide everything you need, when there isn't a live being tending."

She motions Luke closer. "You just ask her for what you want and she'll get it for you. But!" she says, holding up a cautionary finger. "Although incidents of poisoning have gone down drastically since the new Head Bartender came in, she's apt to bite and sting if you aren't nice to her, or if she feels like it."

She pats Bar again. "Isn't that right, Bar?"

In response, Bar burps up a lovely flower blossom.
Luke blinks and stares at his sister as if she's possibly lost it when she goes about explaining how things were done around there. Well... that was just new. And, of course, that was just weird seeing a flower blossom come out of nowhere.

"So you just ask and be nice about it?"
"Generally, yes. Go ahead, try it."
Right... here went nothing... his sister was crazy.

"Could I have a glass of milk, please."

He blinks a bit when a glass of milk doesn't appear. Though in the place of the glass of milk a sippy cup of milk appears instead.
Leia's eyes go wide at that. She gives the man next to her an incredulous look.

"You are Lukey," she breathes. "Bar remembers you."
"A bit too old for sippy cups now though."

But he pats Bar's anyways. Besides, it'd look a bit weird for a grown man to be drinking out of a sippy cup.
She's still staring at him. "Well, at least we're more likey to be recognized as twins. It was very weird telling people you were my twin-brother, while carrying you on my hip..."
That gets a slight chuckle out of him. "No. No more carrying me around." He twirls the sippy cup around a bit before wathing her. "Should I actually confront him or just..." He doesn't know.

There's that frown again. He'd hurt his daddy's feelings and the fact that he didn't think he was Luke.

"I think I'm at a loss."
"If it were me, I'd wait for him to calm down. And then approach him carefully. You;d be best to do it down here, so he can't hurt you or anything."
"What if he doesn't calm down though?" Damn sippy cup... playing with it is making him half tempted to drink out of the damn thing.
Leia makes the decision for him and grabs the damned cup. She takes the lid off and hands it to him.

"Then I don't know. I've never had to deal with him like that before."
He gives her a slight look when she takes it from him because... hey! He was playing with that. Lid on or off its still a damn sippy cup. But he takes it from her and takes a drink of it.

"If I'd of let you explain all this earlier I probably wouldn't of told him what I did."
"You had no reason to allow me to explain it all. Nor did I know that you were the Luke that everyone missed so much."

She pauses. "If I had know, I would have approached it differently. As it was, I merely assumed you were someone completely different."
"That's true too. I mean I didn't know you after all."

He's a bit more relaxed now that he does know who she is though.
And she doesn't want to take him out back to kill him anymore, either.

This mun thinks they've made progress.

She just smiles wryly.
Of course she doesn't. And he doesn't want to hurt her.

This mun thinks they've made definite progress which means this thing can finally go up.

He finishes off his milk and just gives his twin a smile.
"Oh, one last thing."

Leia rubs Bar again and a key materializes. "This is yours. For your room. It'll fit into one of the doors upstairs. And you won't be able to go back to wherever you came from until Bar shows you your out-door again."
Luke blinks but picks up the key. "Okay."

He shakes his head a bit at the mention of going back. Going back may not be such a good idea. After all... its a place where he'd had blood on his hands. Literally.
"I think that covers everything. I'll suppose I'll leave you to finding your room," she says, giving him a smile.

"I'll be around."

And then she's heading off to somewhere...
Luke merely nods and watches his sister go before turning and heading upstairs to find that room. Might as well.
